2014

2014 has become yesterday, I feel I have to jot something down. It's been another amazing, exciting, terrifying year. Let me recap what I have gone through in this post.

The picture above says it all. It was the last year at university and we all tried to make the best use of it. We are a group of friends who all wear glasses, share the topic for assignments and do the study-but-turn-out-to-be-eating-and-gossiping group together.

January and February

2014 wouldn't have been exciting and tiring as it would have been if I hadn't teamed up with my friends to compete in the $300 Business Plan Competition organized by FUSAAC. We did many out-of-building activities, and lots of discussions about the competition which took us roughly 3 months to generate ideas and make products to present to the judges.

March

March treated me well. It was time for fund raising event at RUPP as well as IFL. I and my classmates didn't raise any fund this year, instead we joined as guests instead. I was impressed by how creative and how engaging students are in selling their products to raise fund to help others.

April

April was another great month, I got to travel lots.

Culture Day

It started with IFL's culture day. I got my traditional outfits cut, and joined the event for the whole day. It was extremely fun. People dance and I also did except the shaking dance which I couldn't do it.

Chambok Waterfall

Two days after culture day, I and my friends began our journey to the south ^^. We went to Kirirum, Chambok waterfall. IT WAS REALLY TIRING! We had to walk 8 km in the forest to the waterfall without any guides with joy and enthusiasm and return back with fright after we were told that there was a bear crossing the route. If I am to asked what is the one thing I would suggest when going to Chambok waterfall, it would be this : don't bring too much food. The road to the water is very bumpy, rocky, and slippery, so don't bring anything heavy with you, but after all it was all worth it.

Battambang and Pailin

Khmer New Year's trip! Great one! I got to meet people who have stories to tell and see many haven't-seen-and-never-thought-I-want-to-see things. Such a great experience!

Graduation Day

2014 is the year of graduation, I got to celebrate two graduation ceremonies, one in April the other one in November. Effort paid off, and the good thing is you got to dress professionally and traditionally, and wizardly.

August

A month of joy, beauty, nature, and travelling. There was another family trip to the North. It was a really great trip, We started from Phnom Penh, spent two nights in Siem Reap (for the Nth time), continued to Preah Vihear Province where we spent the third night and came back home and of course visited Sombo Prey Kok Temples. This time I made it to the top of Angkor Temple despite the steep stairs, and we made it to the top of Dorng Rek mountain range to visit Preah Vihear temple and came back home, thought about it, and said to ourselves we shouldn't have risked so many lives. But despite the risks, it was magical up there, and really worth it.

October

First time at Sofitel! Great experience! It was the Senior Prom 2014. I didn't dance much but had a good time.

November

When we are in school, we hate assignments, when we leave school life gives us harder assignment and we start to miss school assignments. It's the IFL graduation day (Nov 17 2014) where people look like wizards. The too loose gown made me feel uncomfortable, this is not to mention the traditional outfit that I wore beneath the black gown.

December

The last month but the most joyful one. I celebrated my birthday three days in advance with colleagues and friends, and celebrated it on my birthday with my family one more time. Great time! Also, I joined Christmas party, and sang and watched people dancing.

After all, yesterday is good only because there are great people in my life make it that way, I would never be able to accomplish all of these alone.

Let me end it here, the more I write, the more mistakes I will make.

xoxo
