Friend's Wedding, January 19, 2014

I received a call from my dad, telling me he was waiting outside the building. I hanged up phone and walked towards my two girls who were dancing gracefully in the crowd. i told them i was going home; they nodded and said 'bye'. So I proceeded to another group of friend who were having a good time drinking and dancing at their table. I told them "I'm going home; my daddy's waiting outside." before others said anything, one of my male friends handed me a glass of beer and said “finish this and you can go home”, I looked at him in surprise and he winked at me. Before I could say anything, another man (I called him bro) on my left hand side took the glass and said ‘no, not her; I’ll take it’ I looked at
him and I thought ‘that’s sweet, bro. thanks’, but I didn’t utter any of these words, I just looked him and smiled from ear to ear. I didn’t want to leave that early; but I had to. I looked at them one by one, and my eyes met with the other eyes from the other edge of the table. There he was, standing handsomely and smiling at me, and in his hand, there was a glass half full of beer. I raised my voice and said ‘I’ll see you later’ he nodded and smiled. That man was my classmate; I called him uncle, lol. So after a few minutes of don’t-want-to-say-good-bye time, I descended the stairs and got at the entrance. I heard a voice calling out my name so I turned around, it was my bro’s voice; he and the other male friend were walking behind me. I stopped and my bro said “Thida, your dad is waiting outside right? I will walk you there.” I said yes and thanked him and told him that my dad was very near. I finally said bye and they went back to the building.
It was good to see them again. It was happiness after years of never met each other, you can see them again and they compliment you, lol. I felt incredible when I saw them again and they pointed at me and told each other that this is my sis and she looks stunning tonight. Whether they were sincere compliments or flattering remarks, i don’t care, cus I like those remarks, lol.
It’s Bromance,
