She And I

She asked if I could sit down for awhile
In her eyes, the sadness stands out a mile
Put my work aside, I was ready to hear her drama
Tears in her eyes indicate that it would be a sad saga.

I dropped my jaw listening to her story
I couldn’t imagine she had endured such misery
The one which was usually told by the prominent author
The ending of which one could hardly infer.

What should I do to help my dear?
What can be done to drive away her fear?
Love, oh, love, how could you be so nasty?
Why not end up having with happy ending like in the movies?

When it comes to love, there is no right or wrong
Some of the feelings have been expressed in the songs
A thousand solutions were effective in theory
However, it is not always the case in reality.

It’s not really easy to accept the fact
I would somehow display a lack of tact
But, dear, the truths are not always pleasant
Some of which you wished you would have never listened.

It took me long enough to realize
But sometimes it takes me by surprise
That what really matters is not the circumstances
Instead it’s how we see and react to what in front of our faces.

Who am I to tell you what to do?
How am I to know what you have gone through?
I could only whisper a word of pray
That I fervently hope this suffering would soon fade away.
